Most customers do fine with a keyword on 1919. But if the messages need to come from a number your customers already know, we will happily host your SIM card.

It is exactly what it sounds like: you post us your physical SIM card, we put it in our equipment and look after it. The number stays yours, and you never have to think about hardware, power or a phone running out of battery in a cupboard.

In our system a hosted SIM card works like a keyword. That means everything you can do with keywords you can do here too: auto-replies, forwarding to your own system, and setup through the same API.

Can we keep our current number?

Usually yes. Call us with the number and your current provider and we will work out what it takes.

What is the difference between a keyword and a hosted SIM card?

A keyword shares the short code 1919 with others and is identified by the first word of the message. A hosted SIM card is your own mobile number that nobody else uses. Technically the two behave the same in our system. A keyword costs DKK 120 a month and a hosted SIM card DKK 120, and keywords on your own hosted SIM card are free.

What is the difference between a virtual number and a hosted SIM card?

A virtual number exists only in our system. There is no physical SIM card behind it, and we give you the number. A hosted SIM card is your own physical SIM, which you post to us. Pick the hosted SIM card if the messages have to come from a number you already have and want to keep.

Can we reply to the messages?

Yes. All inbound traffic is visible in the control panel, and you can reply from there or let your own system do it through the API.
