How many characters fit in one SMS?

A standard SMS holds 160 characters. Write more and the message is split into several parts, which arrive as one long message. You can see the character and message count both in the control panel and in the API response, so you always know what a send costs .

Can the recipient reply?

Yes, if you send with a keyword , a virtual number or a hosted SIM card as the sender. If you send with a sender name instead of a number, the recipient cannot reply directly, so many people add a line explaining how to get in touch.

Can we send the same SMS to many people at once?

Yes. Upload or paste a list in the control panel, or send the messages from your own system through the API. We track delivery for each individual recipient.
